You will be expected to go on several shopping expeditions, buying gifts, or providing financial assistance, as supposedly the favourite man of that particular girl. Depending on the length of your visit, you may also encounter a number of well worn scams and deceptions.

For reasons of tax, legality, lack of accessibility and liability- to name but four, these ‘marriage agencies’ are usually registered in the USA. If you’re located in the Americas, South Africa, Australasia and other parts of the world, you cannot communicate with a registered office, or alternatively knock on the door of a ‘marriage agency in Nikolaev- Ukraine, should you wish to make a complaint.

Maybe you are disenchanted with demanding high maintenance western women, but the thought of a much younger- or similar aged family oriented Eastern European woman excites you. Or maybe you are quite content, but seek short term liaisons and sexual adventures with vibrant young women. You may equally enjoy the thought of exploring new countries and customs, while learning the rich history and culture of another society. If so, your best option is to visit Eastern Europe and see for yourself.

Do not waste your time on marriage agencies, as the money you’ll lose could be better spent actually making the trip. Whether over a long weekend break or vacation, only when you’ve visited, will you appreciate the possibilities.
